The Cambodian Association (Auckland) Inc. is a non-profit organization formed in 1984. Our mission is to improve the quality of life Cambodian-New Zealanders within the Auckland Area by providing services, advocating and empowering them to obtain equal access to social/economic development, as well as to quality healthcare and education.
Our Association also seeks to promote racial harmony between Cambodians in Auckland and our Cambodians in New Zealand by fostering better communication, networking, and promoting cultural awareness among them. Since our inception, we have developed and implemented many social, educational and cultural programs aimed at assisting our Cambodian families to become self-sufficient.
The association aims :
• To bring together Cambodian immigrants and refugees who chose to settle in the greatest Auckland City.
• To provide essential settlement services to all Cambodian newcomers and immigrants.
• To facilitate the successful integration of Cambodians into New Zealand multi-cultural society.
• To preserve Cambodian culture and traditions.
• To promote mutual cultural and social understanding.
The association is planed to build a buddhist
worship building (Vihara) in the near future
